Collecting and Using Your Personal Data
Personal Data You Provide
When you fill out a form, request a spec sheet, use our savings calculator, subscribe to updates, or otherwise contact us, we may ask you to provide personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you, including:
- Email address
- First and last name
- Phone number
- Company name and job title
- Address, state, ZIP/postal code, and city
- Any information you include in your message, such as your cooling load or water-chemistry details
Usage Data
Usage Data is collected automatically when you use the Service. It may include your device’s IP address, browser type and version, the pages of the Service you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, and the Service is not designed to process payment-card or financial-account data.
Analytics and Visitor-Identification Services
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand website usage. Google Analytics may collect your IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, and engagement metrics; you can opt out via Google’s Analytics Opt-Out Browser add-on. We may also use third-party business-intelligence and visitor-identification services that use your IP address and website-interaction data to help us understand which organizations are interested in our technology and products. These providers process data in accordance with their own privacy practices.
Tracking Technologies and Cookies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies — including beacons, tags, and scripts — to operate the Service and to analyze how it is used. Cookies can be “Persistent” (remaining on your device until they expire or you delete them) or “Session” (deleted when you close your browser). We use:
- Necessary / Essential Cookies (Session) — required to operate the Service and enable core features.
- Preference / Functionality Cookies (Persistent) — remember choices you make, such as language, to provide a more personal experience.
- Analytics Cookies (Persistent) — help us understand traffic and engagement, as described above.
You can instruct your browser to refuse cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. If you do not accept cookies, some parts of the Service may not function properly. Because there is no common industry standard for responding to “Do Not Track” signals, the Service does not currently respond to them.
Use of Your Personal Data
We may use Personal Data to:
- Provide, maintain, and monitor the Service;
- Respond to your inquiries and provide requested materials, such as spec sheets and savings estimates;
- Contact you by email, phone, or other electronic means about our technology, products, pilots, and events, where permitted;
- Understand which content and topics are most useful to visitors, and evaluate and improve the Service, our products, and our marketing;
- Evaluate or conduct a merger, financing, reorganization, or other business transfer; and
- Comply with legal obligations and protect the security of the Service.
Sharing Your Personal Data
We do not sell your Personal Data. We may share information:
- With Service Providers who perform functions on our behalf — such as website hosting, form processing, email delivery, analytics, and visitor identification — and who may use it only to provide those services;
- For business transfers — in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business;
- With affiliates — including any parent, subsidiaries, or entities under common control, who are required to honor this Privacy Policy;
- With professional advisors or partners where reasonably necessary; and
- With authorities or others when required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
Disclosure of Your Personal Data
Business transactions. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before it becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Law enforcement and legal requirements. We may disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities, or in a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights or property, prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing, protect the personal safety of users or the public, or protect against legal liability.
Retention of Your Personal Data
We retain Personal Data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy — for example, to respond to your inquiry and maintain a record of our communications — and thereafter as required to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period, except when used to strengthen security or improve the Service, or when we are legally obligated to retain it longer.
Transfer of Your Personal Data
We are based in the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States and any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer of your information to, and processing in, the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. We take steps reasonably necessary to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Policy.
Security of Your Personal Data
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your Personal Data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Your Choices and Rights
You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your Personal Data, or to request a copy of it. The Service may contain links to websites not operated by us. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content or privacy practices of any third-party site, and we advise you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the new Policy on this page. Changes are effective when posted, and your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
